Hello! I’m Tiffany Kairos, an epilepsy blogger, advocate and the founder of the Organization and online community, The Epilepsy Network (TEN). Within this blog you’ll find my journey with epilepsy, along with inspiration and motivation in living with this condition.
I’m a 32-year old wife who loves fitness, eating healthy and most importantly God. Nearly ten years ago, I experienced my second grand mal seizure while driving and survived, having crashed into a tree. I was later diagnosed with epilepsy.
After several tests, medication changes and adjustments, it was discovered that I have a type of epilepsy that is called “Refractory Epilepsy”. This type of epilepsy means that it is hard to control with medication.
I have learned so much from my journey over the years and it is my hope that by sharing my journey that I can help uplift, encourage and inspire others who are also on the same journey. Though I must take medication, and have had to make certain sacrifices for the betterment of my health, I refused to let it hold me back from living my best life. I am beyond thankful for my Heavenly Father and incredible support system who have helped me to rise above, overcome and live fully and I attribute my achievements to their encouragement over the years.
Thank you for joining me along the epilepsy journey!
